Our Story
Long before BeastBay Plumbing was established, owner Ron Burris was helping homeowners improve their plumbing systems by educating them about water filtration systems and tankless water heaters at local home shows. Those early experiences sparked a passion for the plumbing industry and led him to Ben Franklin Plumbing, where he spent nearly a decade building his knowledge and leadership skills.
During his time with the company, Ron quickly earned recognition for his dedication, industry knowledge, and commitment to helping customers find the right solutions. By his second year, he was recognized as the company’s top-performing Comfort Advisor nationwide. As his career progressed, he advanced to Operations Manager and later Regional Manager, where he gained extensive experience in customer service, operations, marketing, invoicing, and overall business management.
Even while working in corporate leadership, Ron continued serving homeowners on weekends through side plumbing projects. Those jobs became the foundation of what would eventually become BeastBay Plumbing. Ron continues to stay active in the industry and is committed to providing exceptional service to every customer. Starting BeastBay Plumbing
In 2017, Ron decided it was time to create something of his own—a plumbing company built around quality workmanship, honesty, and accountability.
Together with two colleagues, Carl and Matthew, he launched BeastBay Plumbing from his commercial building on Tennessee Street. The company’s name was inspired by Ron’s years serving customers throughout the East Bay and reflected the hardworking mindset that continues to define the business today.
Building the company wasn’t easy. During the early years, Ron personally answered customer calls, handled emergency service requests, completed plumbing repairs himself, and often worked 12 to 15-hour days to ensure every customer received exceptional service.
One of BeastBay Plumbing’s very first projects perfectly captured the company’s philosophy. Faced with repairing a water service line, Ron chose to tunnel beneath a customer’s planter boxes instead of digging through them, protecting the homeowner’s landscaping while still completing the repair efficiently. That commitment to finding the right solution—not simply the easiest one—continues to guide every project we take on.
